Playoff Format

     At the conclusion of the regular RHL season playoff shall be held to determine the RHL Cup champion.The team finishing fifth in each conference shall not be eligible to compete for the Cup. The playoffs shall consist of three rounds: conference semifinals, conference finals and Cup finals. Any player on a competing team who has become a free agent because he did not meet the minimum games played requirement may not be used in the playoff.
     Semifinals: The fourth place finisher in each conference shall play the first place finisher and the third place team in each conference shall play the team finishing second in best two-of-three series to determine which two teams in each conference shall compete in the conference finals.
     Finals: The two semifinals winners in each conference shall play a best three-of-five series to determine which shall represent its conference in the Cup finals.
     Cup: The two conference playoff champions shall play a best three-of-five series to determine the Cup winner. The winner shall receive the traveling RHL Cup trophy which he/she may keep until another team wins the Cup.
     The winner of the Cup shall be responsible for having the name of the next winner engraved on the Cup’s base plate and arranging to deliver or send the Cup to the new champion. The Cup shall be delivered to the new champion not later than June 1 of each year unless there are circumstances that prevent it.
